Hey there, I’m Sierra Rae

Hi I’m Sierra! I am a college student from Arizona who now calls Texas home! I grew up in the Professional Rodeo world and have always been surrounded by cowboys and the western way of life. I have always been deeply enthralled with fashion from high fashion to well western fashion. The western lifestyle is more than just squash blossoms and pretty boots though! I hope to give you a taste of what western lifestyle is through this blog!

About Me

I  grew up in the Professional Rodeo world…..if you know me from rodeo, then you probably know my Dad. My Dad is an eleven time NFR qualifying Tie Down Roper Brent Lewis, and now in later years a NFSR (National Finals Steer Roping) qualifier. My hero’s haven’t always been cowboys though. When my Dad went off the grid for a while in the rodeo world I was a normal girl going to school no longer on the road 24/7 finding who I was. Still always surrounded by cowboys though and the western way of life. I have always been deeply enthralled with fashion from high fashion to well western fashion. The western way of life soon found me once again though. This time when opportunity came knocking at my door I answered and went for it. Rodeo and the western lifestyle is who I am and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It has provided for my whole life. It is engrained in me and theres no denying it and I’ve learned I no longer want to. I have learned that I do not have to be out at a rodeo all the time or living life on a ranch in a cowboy hat to be involved, it’s so much more than horses and cattle, even though thats everyone’s idea of it. There’s business, theres fashion, entertainment…and so much more. A year ago I was offered my first blogging position at a women’s magazine and it took off from there. I was then asked to be a Bleacher Babe Squad member by in my opinion one of the original rodeo bloggers The Bleacher Babe. The interest in rodeo fashion is really what brought me back into the western industry. I’ve gone from a rodeo baby up in the bleachers all dressed up for slack (Mom see what you created) into someone people want to hear advice and opinions from. I hope that my small fashion contribution to the western world will help keep it alive for years to come, and whatever else may come from this. I have a little brother who one day is going to want to rope under the bright lights of Vegas, and I guess I have been given the tools here to make sure that happens. The western lifestyle is more than just squash blossoms and pretty boots, it’s family, friends, faith and big goals, I’ve got all of those!
