Deep in the Osage County of Oklahoma, you’ll find a Kingdom built by a Blogger Queen. They call her “The Pioneer Woman.” The Food Network star was a blogger once just like me that’s right. (well she was probably a little better 😉 ) Also I can’t cook to save my life….that’s why I serve up clothes here not recipes! Anyways back to our subject at hand Ree Drummond was just a ranch wife who started a blog on homeschooling and one day cooking! Now not only does she have a hit show called “The Pioneer Woman” DUH she has revived the small and deeply historic town of Pawhuska Oklahoma. Where quite a few of my own family friends also live (so trust me I have first hand accounts of how empty it once was). Pawhuska is also the home of the Ben Johnson Memorial Steer Roping. (hint why I was in town)
Placed in historic downtown Pawhuska located in buildings older than all of us, the Mercantile is where you can find all the Pioneer Woman supplies you need! From her children’s books to her countless lines of kitchen wear, cookbooks, her own magazine, wrapping paper, dining room accessories and well everything in between.
Talk about blogger goals……
Yep you can even buy her wardrobe as seen on TV!
Now this is where I am about to make you really hungry because the Mercantile is also where you can eat her delicious cooking! A full menu, a full bar, a bakery and even P.W. coffee. Now we also indulged on her bakery treats the first day we got to town but those were gobbled up real fast…no pictures…that’s how you know it was good.
Even the menus are cute…..the sweet tea? You’ll walk miles for it.
Let’s start with an appetizer shall we?? Spinach Artichoke dip anyone?
My Mom’s order Spinach Bacon Salad!
My order Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese Dippers!
Can’t leave without desert! How about some Cowgirl Creme Brûlée????
I can assure you Mom and I approve of all the food we tasted and are ready to come back for more. Mom is actually the die hard fan in this situation, she’s made many a recipe from Ree and is obviously no stranger to cooking for Cowboys.
Next time you’re deep in the Osage I suggest you stop for a treat and a peek at the empire The Pioneer Woman has built from the blog up 😉 !
xoxoxo
