As seen in this months issue of Cowboy Times Magazine……

It is that time of year again….I am sure all you have seen since around mid October, is NFR talk. (i’m tired of it myself but hey fashion & rodeo never takes a day off) Well this blog is going to be about the NFR, but I promise to make it new and fresh and exciting because GUESS what…we are talking new Charlie 1 Horse hats that are not even hitting the hat racks this year at Cowboy Christmas! The new collection is full of baby blue, lavender and soft pink felts. Charlie 1 Horses head designer Kaci Riggs-Myers says the collection was inspired by the sunsets of Santa Fe. Rightly named the “Desert Collection” each hat also carries it’s own distinct name to match it’s style, like the “Saguaro” featured in my pictures here.

I  am a pink girl to the core so as soon as I had my eyes on previews of this new collection she called my name, reminding me of the sunsets in Arizona I was raised by. The “Saguaro” comes in two color options, with her leather and concho hatband embellished with a thunderbird pin, you have the choice of pink like mine or baby blue. (thunderbird pin included with hat, not pictured here) There are few other styles coming out I can’t tell you too much about until they show up in Viva Las Vegas, but I’ll give you some hints!

The “Sidewinder” is playing off one of the most popular Charlie 1 Horse styles in a sunset color with it’s own desert twist…a snakeskin band! In just the nick of time too because snakeskin is THE print of the year! The tumbleweed is something an old outlaw might wear…classic western, with a girly and colorful twist and a hat pin of it’s own! The “Sedona Rose” is for all the fashion girls out there with a statement leather band. Last but not least the “Prickly Pear” is soft and sweet with a new style of hatband that gives me some #vintagevibes! Now that’s all I have to say for now! I am a tight lipped Charlie’s angels until NFR time, check out the whole collection at the Resistol booth this year at Cowboy Christmas! RUN don’t waste your time walking! I expect sell outs before the final round of the Rodeo comes! Booth located at LVVC Cowboy Christmas booth #3631
