American Hat Co. has been around for a long time, long before me or this blog. It’s been the go to hat for cowboys across the country…actually across the world from the Rodeo arena, to the World Show, and even the stage. Ever heard of a little country music singer named John Pardi? He’s an American man. In the last few years though they have slowly been taking over the western fashion world not only offering cowboy hats of all kinds but fashion hats. They have become one of the most popular wholesale brands out there, where I’ve ran into them at Market many a time the past few years. Go into any western store and you can bet they carry some Americans.

American Hat store calls The Best Hat store in Fort Worth, Texas home. Actually come to think of it my first run in with them was in Fort Worth. I was working as an intern for RFD-TV, & the Cowboy Channel for The American and someone stopped me. Katie Lynn Armstrong aka @thekatielynn on Instagram. She wanted to take my picture for Cowgirl Magazine and said she loved my outfit. Not too long after that she became the head of Public Relations for American Hat Co. (have I mentioned they have a rockin Instagram & Facebook?) I reached out to her last summer and included American Hat Co. in my “Summer Straws” article for the Cowboy Times.

Fast forward to this summer and my friends at American hooked me up with the cutest little shorty straw. Now I checked many a place for y’all and I did find it on sale at NRS…an official American dealer. I put it up on my Instagram but unfortunately I checked back today and they were sold clean out. The style is “Sisal” and the band was custom singed to give it that rustic look we all dig. This is my first American ever and I won’t lie I’ve been stalking them for sometime deciding what I wanted to try first. This baby is so light and comfortable I’ll be wearing it long past #strawseason. To order your own American check out https://www.nrsworld.com, or you can call Best Hat at ‭(817) 625-6650‬! (I have insider info their site is under some construction 😉 but I’m sure it’ll be up in time for you to order that new fall felt!)
