I often receive DM’s on Instagram from my sweet sweet followers who want to know how I started influencing & blogging? If you know my story I have told 100 times you know it goes something like… (cliff notes version) I started writing and blogging through connections with a good friend in the western industry after a modeling job, then my instagram and rodeo travels with my Dad and connections through his career, and then my time with the Bleacher Babe on her squad which I am so grateful for everyday still, all I have to say is the good Lord has been blessing me with many opportunities. For me it just kind of happened. That is not how it goes for everyone, and I know that. So I looked through some articles from successful bloggers to share with y’all because if I don’t have an answer…I will just find one!
Soooooo….here goes Sierra Rae’s version of professional “blogger & influencer” development!
“How To Start A Blog in 2019” is the first article I found and I shared the first step they gave because that is where I struggled the most! It took me a year to find a platform!
How to Start a Blog in 5 Steps:

Sarah Akwisombe wrote a whole article I highly suggest you read, perfectly titled “How I Became a Successful Blogger.” She runs a very let’s say “unfiltered” blog but that’s okay because I say it a thousand times on my social medias a day and so do my blogger/influencer friends…you have to be the real you…especially in the western word as it’s so small…she is the realest version of herself in the mainstream world and it works! You can read her article here http://www.sarahakwisombe.com/blog/how-i-became-a-successful-blogger
My main point is from totally step by step to a little unfiltered…the thing is no matter what professionalism is key. You can ask both authors of both articles I chose and I know they would say the same thing. Sarah said in her blog that she thinks her office job experience was great for her once she went into blogging….we may be posting a lot but we also are always striving to be the most professional we can be!
