Well the day finally came….and here you are! Reading the first official blog of my first official self owned website/blog however you fancy it..should I say official again? I am feeling quite official with you here now. I for one wasn’t sure this day would come, even though I was told it needed too. It was never just the “right time.” I had a busy 2017 learning what a “Western Fashion Blogger/Influencer” actually does. They say though there’s a time for everything and well the time seems to be here.
So here we go, I’m only going to say it once, because well I say it everyday. If you would have told me two years ago or maybe even less… that I’d be launching my first blog as a Western Fashion blogger and Influencer coming off a year on The Bleacher Babe’s, “Bleacher Babe Squad” I would have seriously laughed in your face and had a smart comment for you. I have those from time to time.
Two years ago it was January 2016 and I was going into the second semester of my freshman year at my junior college in Arizona, where I grew up. I was doing a little modeling (very little) for a good friend’s jewelry company and that was pretty much all the interest in western fashion I had. Sure I had grown up with it, I wore it, but I had no interest in it. I was sure in high school that once I went to college, I wouldn’t ever have anything to do with the industry besides my family ties, I was out and gone. I was going to take off go to fashion school in California never look back and that was that (lol at that 18 year old idea.)
BUT that’s obviously not the plans the big guy upstairs had for me, here I am, in Texas, an Agriculture Communications major, Western Fashion Blogger and Influencer, AND intern for RFD-TV’s The American. SO anyways, long story short, since the day I left Arizona on January 24th 2017, it was a year of me Sierra Rae, yours truly….. doing a years worth of things I said “I’ll never do that” to. When people told be I needed to be a blogger I had that response exactly.
A year ago I was planning to launch a blog…(if you really want to embarrass me you can find the post on my instagram) so the title of this blog is not just a play on an old country song, as is the name of my blog…we will get to that in another blog… but also VERY true. The blog has gone through a total change from the logo, to the name, and the whole website host in general if you want to get technical.
Now here we are…..so I hope you enjoy all the small details I know only I worry about….kidding guys, kidding….my aunt cares about the small details too. I do hope you enjoy everything that will find it’s way into this site. It’ll be a surprise to the both of us because I have an idea but I’m still not totally sure what may find it’s way over to this site one day. You know I’m still just a college girl with a social media following and self proclaimed fashion sense. Who’s is in a lot of pictures and gets asked to pop up here and there, (thank goodness) but hey……..what do I know? 😉
